eX4sports is a German consultancy and solution provider dedicated to financial planning and analysis for professional sport. Founded in 2022 and based in Schmitten im Taunus, the team builds planning, budgeting and scenario solutions for football clubs, with accoPLANNING providing the data entry and writeback layer inside Power BI.
Sport management runs on short cycles and sudden change. Transfers, competition results, gate receipts and media income can move the plan in a single week, so clubs need planning processes that handle many scenarios without a rebuild each time. eX4sports was created to serve exactly that need, combining decades of CPM and reporting experience with an understanding of how a club actually operates.
Its founders come out of the German CPM industry, including the leadership of the former IDL GmbH Mitte, now part of insightsoftware, and have spent more than three decades building reporting, planning and analysis solutions across industries.

Migrating a legacy BI as a Service solution to Power BI, including writeback functionality, without adding architectural effort to the customer solution or compromising usability.
accoPLANNING provided a holistic planning solution that served every layer of the solution requirements, while remaining scalable and efficient inside Power BI, where customers already use the platform for multiple purposes.
The migration landed without a second platform. Planning, forecasting and reporting now live in the same Power BI solution customers already work in, so eX4sports maintains one architecture instead of two and can roll the same standardised planning layer out to every new customer.
